BIOpick - Your Potato Sampling Device!
BIOpick is a device for collecting heel core samples from potato tubers (e.g., for testing quarantine bacterial diseases such as ring rot caused by Clavibacter and brown rot caused by Ralstonia). It makes coring more ergonomic allowing collection and transfer of up to 200 heel end cores into a 50 ml collection tube. The sample collection can be done manually or semi-automatically by connecting the BIOpick to a lab mixer through the available adapter.
This complete BIOpick sampling kit includes:
