Plant Material Lysis Kit - 50 reactions
This kit provides all necessary reagents to extract DNA from plant material that can then be used in a LAMP reactions.
Video Demonstration of Plant Material Lysis Kit with Genie III platform
Kit Contents:
- 50x Bijous with ball bearing (red cap)
- 1x 60ml lysis buffer
- 50x dilution buffer (clear cap)
- 50x 10µl loops
*Scalpels are not supplied in this kit, but may be useful for some plant sample preperation
Lysis Method:
1) Use a fresh scalpel to cut a 2x2cm square or 1x1x1cm cube piece of plant material
2) Place cut plant material into a fresh bijou with ball bearing (red cap) and add 1ml lysis buffer, cap securely
3) Shake bijou vigorously for 1min so that ball bearing breaks up the plant material
4) Use a fresh loop to transfer 10µl prepared plant material solution into a vial of dilution buffer (clear cap)
5) Cap securely and mix solution
6) 5µl of the prepared plant material in the dilution buffer can be used directly as template in a LAMP assay
