PVM (Potato Virus M) Complete ELISA Kit - 5000 reactions
Synonyms: Carlavirus misolani
PVM is a virus with world-wide prevalence. In potato, symptoms range from very slight (e.g. cv. King Edward) to severe (e.g. cv. Arran Victory), depending on virus strain and potato variety. The virus causes various mottle, mosaic, crinkling and rolling symptoms in leaves, and stunting of shoot. The virus is transmitted both by aphids and mechanical means.
Complete PVM ELISA Kits also available in 96 reactions, 480 reactions, and 960 reactions kit sizes.
Specificity and sampling instruction
These reagents were made against a potato isolate of PVM multiplied at Agroscope, the Swiss centre of excellence for research in the agriculture and food sector and specifically react with PVM in DAS-ELISA. For all potato reagents, we recommend our extraction buffer for testing leaf samples at a ratio of 1:20 (w/v). For testing sprouted tuber samples (sprouts of potato), a special extraction buffer, containing egg albumin (ovalbumin), is used at a ratio of 1:10 to 1:20 (w/v;). This product has been developed in cooperation with Agroscope, the Swiss centre of excellence for research in the agriculture and food sector.
