A mouse housekeeping assay is used to detect a stable endogenous mouse gene that is consistently present in mouse tissues and cells. It serves as an internal positive control to verify sample quality, nucleic acid extraction efficiency, and assay performance. Detection of the housekeeping target confirms the presence of amplifiable mouse DNA in the sample, helping to distinguish true negative results from those caused by poor sample quality, extraction failure, or PCR inhibition. Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) is a molecular biology technique that copies DNA or RNA at a single, constant temperature.
